Inspired by the waves of the ocean and the glamour of nearby Los Angeles, the decor has a breezy modern feel. Their location provides access to a variety of attractions, including the Santa Monica Pier and the Getty Villa and Venice Beach. They are also partners with the Santa Monica Museum of Art and provide complimentary access to their exhibits for all guests. With all this culture and charm, a destination honeymoon here would be no short of an enjoyable adventure.

Angie Stone is an R&B, soul, and neo-soul singer-songwriter from South Carolina. I chose this song, off of her 2004 album “Stone Love,” because of its funky R&B rhythm and happy vibe. Also, the music video features Idris Elba…enjoy!

Blue Sydney: Luxury Boutique Hotel in Australia

First built as a wool and cargo handling facility 100 years ago, the Blue Sydney hotel was renovated to combine a hotel with a marina, restaurant and apartment complex. I really like how they maintained the original iron fixtures and creatively worked around and within it to guarantee a memorable experience. Just like its location, this hotel is bustling with elegant design and unique decor. I think a photo shoot and a party would be a lot of fun here. Music Spotlight:

Kimbra is a New Zealand singer, song writer and musician based in Australia. Her music tends to fuse indie pop, soul, and electronic. She enjoys incorporating her humor in the majority of her music videos as well. I chose these two songs because I like the fusion of rhythms in both and the imagery. I also highly recommend you check out her album “Vows.”

A breathtaking sanctuary nestled among enormous trees and the Sand River, the Singita Ebony Lodge provides an elegant safari experience. The decor blends European style with a vibrant African character. I love how the spacious rooms compliment its majestic jungle surroundings.

Music Spotlight:

Freshly Ground is a South African Afro-fusion band with members from South Africa, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. I chose these two songs because I like how diverse their repertoire of work is, fusing traditional African rhythms with contemporary genres.

Copacabana Palace: Famous Luxury Hotel in Brazil

If you are looking for the ultimate V.I.P experience, Copacabana Palace is the ultimate place to find classic luxury and exclusive history. This hotel was built in 1923 by a French architect and has hosted many stars, including Rita Hayworth, Marilyn Monroe, Elton John, Michael Jackson, and Madonna. It is considered South America’s premiere hotel and has all the glamorous trimmings to maintain that reputation.

It’s classic and elegant decor reminds me so much of the Turner Classic Movies channel. I am a big fan of fashion and cars from the 1920s and 30s and can easily see a lovely reproduction of any of those romantic classic movie scenes here. This would be a perfect location for a retro themed photo shoot or wedding and for a relaxing, romantic honeymoon. Here is a clip showcasing the hotel, which I agree would be “a journey like no other.”

Music Spotlight:

Brazilian music has a variety of original styles, from samba to zouk-lambada to bossa nova. While searching for music for this post, I found a variety of artists that are considered part of the “new generation,” where they combine the traditional rhythms of their home city with contemporary pop, hip hop, and jazz while still representing the culture of their home country.

Luísa Maita is a Brazilian singer-songwriter. Her music fuses traditional Brazilian urban music with contemporary pop and jazz. This song has a lovely melody and I like how the video clip showcases the urban side of Brazil. The song talks about a “motoboy” who zips through the city of Sao Paulo making deliveries.

Lurdez da Luz is a Brazilian rapper and singer. The hip-hop scene in Brazil has been gradually growing within the past two decades and Lurdez is one of the few female MCs paving the way. I like how this song fuses hip hop with an afro-brazilian and jazz rhythm.

Stonehurst Place: Luxury Bed and Breakfast in Atlanta

A 19th century mansion filled with art, chic furniture, and modern elegance, the Stonehurst Place in Atlanta is a Bed and Breakfast worth the trip. A luxury home away from home, the way this place is decorated makes you feel there is a different treasure to discover in each room. It also features a lovely garden, parlor and veranda. The fun thing about a bed and breakfast is that it provides the opportunity to meet new people and hear interesting stories in a cozy atmosphere. For those who prefer an intimate and laid back honeymoon, I think this would be a lovely choice.

Music Spotlight:

Janelle Monáe is a singer-songwriter, composer, dancer, and spokeswoman. She is originally from Kansas, but made Atlanta her home in 2001, where she also established her record label – Wondaland Art Society. This song is the first single from her upcoming album, The Electric Lady, that has been dubbed an anthem for empowerment for women. Her music videos tend to have a cinema concept. I love the message and imagery in this video.

Luxury Envy: Burj Al Arab in Dubai

While sampling hotels around the world from the comfort of my laptop, this particular sail-shaped hotel continued to pop-up. I realized I had never seen the inside of this very modern looking hotel and decided to check out their photo gallery. Thus started my awe-struck-envy episode.

The Burj Al Arab in Dubai takes the concept of luxury to another level in a league of it’s own. Voted as the world’s most luxurious hotel, they provide a personal butler service, 8 restaurants and bars, 4 swimming pools, private beach, and a Rolls Royce, Mercedes, and helicopter airport transfer service. Of course, such services include an impressive price tag, but, similar to my previous posts, I enjoy admiring the craftsmanship that goes behind creating places like this. Every intricate detail is designed to entice all of your senses. It really is a work of art. The bold colors and modern patterns make a beautiful combination. Having a wedding, or a reception, or a drink, or just a tour here would probably be an experience of a lifetime.

Samo Zaen is a singer from Kuwait who has won the award for Best Arabic Singer 6 times. The majority of his music videos are created as short films and are directed by him. In this clip, I like how he ties history and love together.

Myriam Fares, also known as the Queen of Stage, is a singer and entertainer from Lebanon. This is her latest single for her upcoming album and it already is topping the charts in the Middle East. I like the fashion, color, and fun in this clip.
